Around The Clock Dart Game
This game is named after the dartboard looking similar to a dartboard and the fact that the object of the game is to go around the board clockwise. The game can be played as a single player just attempting to practice their accuracy or multiple opponents can join in and compare their scores to determine a winner.
Rules for How to Play Around the Clock Darts
You can either pick a starting player or flip a coin to determine who goes first for this game. In order to make the first shooter not have an advantage over the other players, make sure the final round is completed so there isn't an uneven amount of throws where the other shooters don't have time to catch back up at the end of the game. The first shooter starts with 3 darts and attempts to hit the 1 on the dartboard before they are allowed to move on to the next scoring zone clockwise to the 18. The next players complete the round by each shooting 3 darts each and attempt to make their way around the clock. Once a player has made it back all the way around the board and hits a 20, they are then required to hit a bulls eye in order to complete the game. At the end of each round, the player further around the clock is in the lead. If one player at the end of the round has made it all the way around and hit the bulls eye, they are determined the winner. If more than one player completes the entire clock they will compete in a head to head tie breaker. To break the tie, each player will shoot additional rounds of 3 darts each and is required to hit the inner bulls eye. At the end of each additional round, the player that was able to hit more inner bulls eyes than the other wins the match. |
Handicap for Around the Clock
The best way to apply a handicap for better players in order to even out the odds of this game are to limit the scoring zone for the advanced player. To do this, determine which portion of the board is essentially off limits from scoring. If the player is much more advanced, forcing them to shoot only between the triple scoring inner ring down to the bulls eye for most numbers and the inner bulls eye will surely even out the game enough to make it more competitive.
